Lex-Ham is collaborating with the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota and with the support from Concordia University! This event lasts throughout the month of August and September at 5:30 PM at Ries Tower of Concordia University, 393 Dunlap, which is on the corner of Griggs and St. Anthony.
All activities offered are FREE!
For safety measures, socially distancing will be practiced at all times. Participants and instructors are required to wear a face mask/coverings at all times. Participation will be limited; therefore, to ensure a space in the activity, people should register in advance.
Two program assistants (18+) are needed for the adult classes and community rides. A stipend is available for each assistant. Please contact CJ Lindor at email@example.com if you are interested.
Adult Learn-To-Ride classes: Includes free usage of bicycle and helmet during the lesson with professional instruction. For adults (age 18+) who have not previously ridden a bicycle, or who feel unsteady and would like additional instruction and support to resume riding. Group lessons (60 min) will offer participants an opportunity to progress through a structured learning sequence with trained instructors in a clear, outdoor, traffic-free setting.

Community Group Ride: Includes free usage of bicycle and helmet during the ride. For adult riders interested in learning about and experiencing urban bicycle riding with experienced ride leaders. Participants will gather outdoors and receive an overview of safe riding best practices. Ride leaders will direct and escort participants through the neighborhood highlighting routes, infrastructure, and destinations that facilitate cycling for transportation and recreation. Rides will be planned for approximately 5 miles at a moderate pace that is comfortable for all riders, and are expected to last about 90 min.

Mobile Bike Repair: Experienced bike mechanics welcome walk-up bike repairs and adjustments, with limited parts provided as available. Sizing adjustments, shifting, braking, wheel adjustments and other repairs will be provided on-the-spot on a first-come-first-served basis for 2 hours. Bike owners should not leave bikes unattended; BikeMN cannot guarantee the security of any bikes left unattended before or after repairs are being completed.

Again, all activities start at 5:30 PM. The MN Bicycling Handbook will be available to all participants at each event as long as supplies last.
